FAQ
How do I know what services are available?
Download the app or visit our website, click on Services to see what Special Teams are currently available (more organizations are being added to our network … check back often for updates). Special Teams service providers may only be accessible during regular office hours and may not be available during evenings, weekends or holidays.
Do I need to chat only with service providers that are located close to me?
Absolutely not! Access to Special Teams may be particularly valuable for people in remote Indigenous communities lacking local resources or facing long consultation wait times. You can be connected to services from anywhere. You get to close the distance gap by connecting directly with specialists.
Talking Stick’s commitment is to provide an anonymous pathway to access culturally safe, support that is barrier-free and judgment-free.
Are Service Providers available 24/7?
This service is not designed to be a crisis line, so there’s no guarantee that Special Teams will be available around the clock, or every day of the week. Each organization and resource will decide when they will be available to chat.
